Tabling Policy (Pius Library)
Purpose
The purpose of tabling in Pius Library is to provide space for student organizations to distribute goods, information, sales and/or services.
Scope and Nature of Events
Pius Library provides space for student organizations to distribute goods, information, sales and/or services. All tabling in Pius Library is subject to the approval of the Office of the Dean of Libraries and Museums and must be pre-approved by the Student Involvement Center. Although the sale of food and/or beverages is allowed as fundraising for student organizations, the extent and nature of those sales require the approval of the Office of the Dean of Libraries and Museums, e.g., food preparation that requires an appliance may not be approved due to fire and safety concerns.
Tabling Locations in Pius Library
Locations for tabling in Pius include the entryway at the West Pine entrance (in the ATC) and the entryway at the Lindell entrance (by Einstein’s Bagels). If electrical outlets are required for either food or beverages, the tabling will be scheduled for the entryway at the Lindell entrance only. The tabling location will be determined by Pius staff and communicated to the student organization when the reservation is confirmed.
Application Procedure
Submit an online application describing the purpose of the tabling event, preferred dates and times for the event, tables/chairs needed, and contact information. You will be asked to upload approval from the Student Involvement Center for the tabling event.
